Highlighter on fleek

Here is my beauty post as promised. Lately I am totally obsessed with the Iconic London Illuminator. I have been wanting to try it for agessssss. I discovered Iconic London about two years ago on Instagram and watched the company grow and blossom. A whole heap of celebs and their make up artists have used the product too and I always see positive feedback. I have spoken to the owner  Jade on Instagram and she was so lovely. She grew her business from the nothing and put in the work to create a massive following and a range of beauty products like the Illuminator, lashes, eyeshadows and contour palettes. Ladies, I believe if you want something bad enough and you have the desire then anything is achievable. We were not put on this earth to be mediocre.
I also love it when people are humble and take the time to reply to you. Obviously there are different circumstances but it turns me off someone instantly when you reach out to them and they ignore you. Like relax you have 20k following - you can still be a nice person. Please people, it takes NOTHING to be nice to someone and you never know what they are going through. When people act like they are better then me I just think 'Girl byeeeee' and *click* you're unfollowed. Rant over lol.

Back to the Illuminator, for whatever reason I didn't get around to buying it and then I bought it for my bestie as part of her birthday present so I put one for myself in the shopping cart...I mean why not, technically I am saving by getting two as the postage is for one HAHA.

So for the application what I have been doing lately is mixing just a drop of the Iconic London Original  Illumiantor into my Giorgio Armani foundation and then applying as normal with my foundation brush. It gives your skin a nice glowy highlight all over.  I am a bit over matte foundation. Not on other people just myself. My mum thinks it's a bit much in the day and more suitable for night but I like looking that little bit extra so I wear it even going to the shops ;)

Price wise.. I think it is value for money. It's about $60 AU I think. The bottle was a lot smaller then I anticipated but after using it, a little goes a long way. You don't need much at all.
Currently there are 3 different colours to choose from. I went with the original as I feel it will compliments my olive skin tone the best. With highlighters, I have noticed the ones that have a 'white-ish' base gives me a grey look with my skin colour.

When applying as a highlight over the top of my base I use the beauty blender (the pink sponge thing) and I find you really need to blend it properly because if you don't you are left with the outline of the drops you applied. But if you work at it then it blends and gives you the look you are after. I think this is the case with most liquid highlighters.
If i want to be extra AF I also apply it to the collar bones (see images below), my nose and cupids bow.

If you have any questions about the product or would like a video on how I achieve the look pictured please let me know :)
Before I finish up I just want to take the opportunity to send love and blessings to all those in need. Especially the people affected by the floods, hurricanes, fires etc in America and Asia. If we all say a prayer I am positive it will make a difference even if we can't see it, the positive vibration will be in the air.

Much love,

The Designer Hippy
